Random things...

Ok, so I haven't posted anything in awhile, not that anybody's reading this to care!! Anyways, so I went to Half Price Books a few days ago... I think it was Saturday, when, yet again, I found some really awesome stuff!! I found 2 Sailor Moon anime manga(they were just comics based entirely from the S.M episodes) in the original Japanese for only $4.98!! Not bad considering the regular price tag(from wherever this person bought it from), which was $10.98 each!! I also found a random issue of Nakayoshi- a Japanese magazine aimed towards young girls that is literally chock full of manga stories(and I thought Shoujo Beat was thick!!) They used to have S.M in there back when it first came out. But anyways, this was from 2008...May...I think?? I haven't had a chance to really look through it all, but I'm just still wigging out on all my super awesome, totally random finds!! 8D

So school's almost out, just three more exams and then I'm done for the friggin' quarter!! I was sooo excited that I got an A+ on my cultural narrative paper I had to write for English!! I wrote it on Irish dance and how annoying it is to have I.D be compared to Riverdance and other things. The comment that he wrote on my paper made me blush SOOO much!! It was just basically saying that the paper was well organized, interesting, and that I did a really good job writing it and stuff like that. 8DDDDD Ooooh, I can't help but blush like crazy whenever he talks to me, even write nice comments on my papers!! XD Oh and when he tries to talk to me in German...XD Very cute!! Ok, enough about my lil' schoolgirl crush kekeke!!

I was thinking on writing some more about school, but I'll do it later, when I'm not pulling an all nighter and can hardly see the keys on my keyboard.

FINALLY!! I'm so ready for school to be done and over with. Well, at least this quarter. I'm sick of all the papers I have to write, I'm sick of waking up early in the morning (I'm not a morning person at all). Anyways, I still need to sign up for my classes for next quarter. I want to wait and see what grades I have so I don't sign up for the wrong classes or whatever. I still need to see my adviser and honestly, I'm scared of her. I've met her in person once but from what her emails were like and even how she was towards me when we met she seemed kind of rude. She seemed to cut me off when I tried talking to her and she never told me what I needed to do for my major. She just suggested some classes for me that I should take for winter quarter and that was it. She didn't mention the rest of the classes I should take for the future or whatever. I need to switch advisers or something.

Halloween just happened a few days ago. It was beyond boring for me. I did nothing except read a little bit and pass out candy to the kids. I don't see what's so great about Halloween... I think it's one of the holidays I can live with out.

Apparently, I need to write a paper for my regional studies class which I had no idea we had to. I need to come up with a topic soon. I don't think he even mentioned anything about the paper. I know that we have to write about something current in the Middle East(at least I think we do) but that's about it. I also need to write my English paper as well as rewrite my comparative studies paper. It's pretty interesting because I'm writing about Japanese fashion, which I'm really interested in.

Errr, that's it for now. I'm tired and bored.

The last of my birthday gifts :D

Sooo, I totally forgot to post some pics of the last of my birthday gifts!! We had to reorder them again because for some reason, they didn't send my mom the request to pay with Pay Pal. Anyways, I looooove cute things. Always. I've loved everything Sanrio ever since I was little. Later, my sister showed me San-X. Like Sanrio, San-X has looooads of cute little animals. I think they only have animals... Well, they also have a sweet shop thing too... Anyways, I instantly fell in love with lots of the characters!! I looove Rilakkuma, Mamegoma, Homecoro, Nyan Nyan Nyanko, and Monokuro Boo :D So anyway, back to my presents, my mom ordered me some San-X stuff for my birthday!! I got a Rilakkuma Ipod/cell phone holder, Rilakkuma bento box, and a Mamegoma bento bag. They're all soooo cute!! They also gave me a free Monokuro Boo pin, which my sister was beyond jealous of because she loves those pigs XP

Oh and my parents bought some of this Hello Kitty milk flavored candy at the commissary a week or two ago. The candy was ok, it tasted kind of like vanilla flavored Tootsie Rolls, but different all at the same time. It's hard to explain the taste XD Anyway, the packaging is really cute, so I just had to take a few pics :3

I love finding random things!!

On Friday, my mom and I went to Half Priced Books, a pretty awesome bookstore that has new and used books for much less than regular bookstore prices. It's kind of like a thrift store though, I can never find exactly what I'm looking for all the time, but sometimes I can find some pretty awesome things. Like on Friday for example, I was just browsing through the foreign language section, because sometimes they have some actual reading books in a particular foreign language, and when I looked in the Japanese section, I found four, yes FOUR copies of the original Sailor Moon manga in JAPANESE!!! Yes, friggin' JAPANESE and in MINT CONDISH!! 8DDDD I couldn't believe it. These books were in pristine condition and even though it wasn't the first four volumes(they were vol. 6,7,8 and 18-the very last one), it was still an amazingly AWESOME find!! I LOOOOVE Sailor Moon, especially when I was little. I always wanted to be a Sailor Scout and I had sooo much stuff, I still have a lot of it left: dolls, trading cards, playing cards, some weird Pokemon based card game thing, some weird real life RPG game book thing this lady from Make a Wish gave me when my sister had cancer, posters I got for Christmas one year and one that my sister gave me, movies, alarm clock, etc. The only thing I don't have is my Sailor Jupiter costume my mom made me for Halloween when I was around 7 or 8. It's sad because my mom did a REALLY, REALLY good job on it- better than a lot what those cosplayers make. I suppose the pattern for the costume was rare, at least for the fabric stores around us. I should post a pic sometime :D Oh, when I was about 12, there was this really cool small store in California called Dance 'n Things and they had loads, and I mean LOADS of Sanrio stuff!! Really good, rare things and they also had some other random stuff. There I found two Sailor Moon paper dolls!! They were from Japan, still had the Japanese writing on it and they were two different sets of paper dolls. I still have them :D and I still can't believe I found something that random and rare in a store like that.

Back to Half Priced Books, my mom also found the first 6 volumes of Vampire Knight(ok, it's not rare exactly, but it's rare to find ALL six volumes together in one HPB store) for only 2 dollars each. I can't believe it because they were all in extremely good condition, read maybe once or twice...

Also a while back, my mom, sister, and I were at HPB in Cincinnati and I found the last Harry Potter book in German. It was the only copy they had in the foreign language section. I was sooo excited!! The book's not in the greatest condition, but I love looking through it and trying to figure out all the words that I know :3 I'm such a dork for foreign language stuff, I love it :D

Speaking of foreign languages, I was in the college of lib. arts at school today, waiting for my conference with my English teacher and while I was waiting, I walked around and I saw a small display case about TESOL and TEFL. My face seriously lit up when I saw it because I want a TEFL degree thing. They offer TEFL classes in the summer apparently and you can also teach ESL in Japan or teach it in some Korean university. JACKPOT!!! OHHH my goodness, that's exactly what I want to do is teach ESL in Japan and/or Korea!! 8DDDDDD I couldn't stop staring at it and smiling like a dork XD

Totally off topic now, I'm thinking on changing my doll's name to Sophie Noel or just Sophie. I dunno what I wanna do!! DX Oh, for my birthday, I got a new wig, new eyes, and shoes for her!! She finally has shoes!! Yay!! The wig is really cute, it's a chestnut brown bob. Her new eyes look gorgey with the hair; they're a light blue color and her shoes are white gladiator style sandals. They look really cute with her dress. I really wanna take her outside since it's beautiful out today :3

Yesterday

Oh my god, so yesterday, "you know" started and I felt terrible. My stomach felt like it was twisting up in knots, so I took some Midol. Only one though, because that stuff is strong. I then ate some Fritos and some spicy cheesy dip that my dad makes a lot so that way I could eat some food and the Midol wouldn't bug me as much. FALSE(lol Dwight from the Office...). I felt even worse. It felt like someone was just standing on my stomach and inner thighs and jumping up and down. It was terrible. I would feel alright for one minute, then extreme pain the next. I was also freaking out because a friend on CR told me a fellow Suju fan died from stomach cancer and my dad was mentioning the swine flu when I said I was feeling sick and nauseous. Soon, the caffeine from the Midol stated to kick in. I do NOT do well with caffeine because it makes me shake like crazy and my whole body just goes nuts D: So with the initial cramps I had, plus the cramps Midol gave me for not eating enough food, and the caffeine all mixed in one was just TOO much. It felt like I was having a panic attack and I was so nauseous.

I kept feeling like I was going to throw up, so I would sit in the bathroom and wait. Nothing would happen except that I would hiccup a lot. Soon after that, my body got into a cold sweat and I was hot and cold at the same time. It was so hot that I wanted to take my clothes off, but I was so cold that I wanted to put more on. My mom kept telling me to relax and find something to eat. I couldn't do either of them so the first thing that popped into my head was that I wanted my dad to make me some oatmeal(the way he makes it is very good and always makes me feel better).

So after awhile, he finally got started on making the oatmeal and I was still in pain. I kept tossing and turning on the sofa; my body was sweating like crazy, but I was extremely cold. I stood up and walked in the kitchen and got some water. After I drank a few sips of water, I suddenly felt really nauseous. I walked to the bathroom and tried to throw up. First, nothing came out, as usual, just some hiccups and then I just kinda tried to gag myself(with out putting my fingers or something else in my mouth. Hard for me to explain...)and eventually, a little bit came out. I felt just a teensy, tiny bit better and I walked back to the kitchen. My dad finished making the oatmeal and set it out on the table. I ate like, one or two bites. I couldn't make it go down my throat. I decided to drink some more water so that I could maybe throw up some more and then I would hopefully feel better. It worked because I then had to go to the bathroom and throw up again. Then, I told my mom what happened again and she asked if I was ok or something like that. I mumbled something and then ran back to the bathroom. This time, a lot came out. Ok, that's totally nasty, but still...

After that, I felt a little bit better and I sat down and tried to eat the oatmeal again. I still couldn't eat it and told my dad that I couldn't. I felt bad for not eating it, but I imagine that he understood that I wasn't feeling well. He then made me some Jello. I hate Jello, but I wanted to eat something. So anyways, I eventually started feeling much better, but I was still uber dizzy whenever I would stand up or move my head. It was very scary and I'm so thankful that I didn't feel that way today :] My stomach feels a little gurgley and slight cramps, but nothing like yesterday at all.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! *sigh* They're new song is super catchy and Hankyung looks sooo cute in this video, I love his nerd look :DDDD I really don't like the fact that they put Jessica from SNSD in the video, only to enhance her shallowness(she turns down Hankyung because he looks dorky and so he changes his look and then, and only then she wants to be with him. TWU WUB!! *gag*) Ok, I guess you could tell that I don't like SNSD, particularly Jessica or Tiffany. Well, as long as they didn't use Tiffany in the video, I guess it's ok XD Yeah, I'm a total Suju fangirl, what can I say?? I love the fact that the say "shyupah" kekekeke x3

It's 6 in the flippin' morning. No sleep. First day of school today.

WLEMWLAMALFMDLSFMDSLGMDSGJ!!! Why did I decide to pull an all nighter?!!? OMG I'm so tired, but now it's too late to fall asleep because I have to wake up in less than 45 minutes to get ready for school DDDD: I'm not one who needs just a simple power nap and I'll be good to go. Oh no, I need a full 8+ hours of sleep in order to not feel extremely tired or cranky when I wake up. I don't want to go out of my room because I don't want my parents to know I pulled an all nighter... Oh man, I can't wait to get home from school and fall asleep!! Good thing that it's only the first day of classes, because I would be even more screwed if we really had to focus on lectures or tests... LSDKLSMDLSWDOEFL!!!

Buuuut, my birtday's coming up soon!! I can't wait!! I'm only gonna be 21, but I already feel old... I never really did anything in my life that was meaningful, minus Irish dance. That was pretty much the only thing I ever really did that was interesting. I never participated in any extra curricular activities at school, participate in talent shows, except when I was like, in the 2nd grade. It was the stupidest thing ever. I don't know why I even agreed to dance the macarena to a friggin' BEATLES SONG DDDD: Anyways, I never was in any clubs or went to school dances(in high school, but I did go to 2 at St. Lukes, those don't really count...), I never did anything to stand out and really be myself, I only did things that would make me blend in with others(for the most part). I don't have a job right now and my academic career dropped like a lead balloon... I don't even know what I want to do in the future now. I've been wanting to teach ESL, but I'm not sure if I still want to do that. I just wanted to teach ESL so I could go to Japan or even Korea kekekke XDD I just want to do something different for a change, do something meaningful, but I'm always too afraid of people judging me... Bad thoughts, but I can't help them... :[

Ahh, listening to Super Junior always makes me feel better :] Blargh, I blame Yudi for introducing me to them. Ever since then, I've been obsessed with them!! D: kekekeke :3 More about them later... :O

I'm pretty nervous about my German class, I don't really remember a whole lot from this past year... I'm screwed DX I hope that my other classes go well and that I have decent professors. I also have a new professor for German(I had my other for 2 quarters), so I hope she's nice. I doubt that she'd be as awesome as my other prof. but I just don't want a bitchy teacher... lbgdsfladsflds Whatever...

6:26 right now.... UGH. No more all nighters unless I'm 100% NOT tired. I can't wait to get something to eat, I'm so hungry.

Time to talk about my dollie!! :D Part 2

Unfortunately, I had to get a Paypal account, which I didn't have and had no clue what to do. So then I had to make an online bank account in order to make the Paypal account work. Well, I didn't know my account number so after long hours of searching, I found it. I then did all the doohickeys I was supposed to do and final paid for my order. That took about a day or two, which was agonizing because I wanted to pay for her as soon as possible!!

I then had to wait a few weeks when finally they shipped her out. I looked on the tracking every single day and almost every single hour. It took about 2 days for her to be shipped out to the air port in Korea, then about 3 days for her to come to the US, and about a day or so to get to my house. At first, I was really mad because I figured that she would come Monday instead of Friday or Saturday(I thought they would've came by then). But suddenly on Sunday(YES, Sunday!!), a mail truck came and my mom shouted for me and told me the mail man's here. I ran downstairs and saw my dad outside with the mailman and he gave him the package. My doll was here!! I opened the garage door and took my doll from my dad and ran back inside. I set the box on the dining table and I was shaking like crazy!!

Opening everything was very tedious, but worth it because Chami was sooo lovely!! She came with the wig and eyes I requested already on her and some undies. I then put her outfit on her and she looked so cute!! It was hard to handle her at first(and still is) because I felt so clumsy holding her.

At first, my mom called her Saoirse even before I got her, but I didn't really like that name for her so I spent the next few days coming up with a name. I looked at some baby naming sites and tried to find a good name. I then came to the conclusion that I wanted her to have a French sounding name and I really liked the name Noel for her. My sister had a book of French baby names where I found "Elodie." I liked that name as well for her so she's now "Elodie Noel" but I just call her Noel... sometimes Elodie...sometimes both XDD

Anyways, she's just beautiful looking and I love taking pictures of her, especially her face(mostly because I'm not good at coming up with unique poses). I hope to get a few more in the future, but that's if I actually get a JOB!! Not have to resort to....ugh, I don't wanna think about it. I'm gonna have to pay all that back in the not too distant future DDD: Well, I'm happy with her presently, so that's all that matters :3

Time to talk about my dollie!! :D Part 1

Well, I haven't done this on my LJ yet, so I figured I'd do it here... To anyone who ever reads this(....anybody??? *sniffle*) Aw, I don't care. Maybe for my future self...?? Ok, so anywho, I need to talk about my lurrrvely BJD.

I've always wanted an ABJD(Asian ball-jointed doll) ever since I saw one on this one girl's website where she made pixel dolls. Ah, I remember those days when that was really big. Ok so anyways, she made some of her base dolls look like Dollfies. I was curious about them so I looked them up online and I instantly fell in love. These dolls were so awesome!! You could actually customize them yourself into pretty much anything you wanted!! You can change their hair, eyes, make-up, paint their nails, give them tattoos, give them piercings, anything!! I wanted one so badly, but they're ridiculously expensive.
So after years of losing interest, then gaining interest in them, over and over again, I told my mom about them. I showed her a website called Dollmore(where I got mine!! :3), and she really liked them too. She asked me all sorts of questions about them and we looked at all sorts of different dolls. So then, I thought it would be a perfect oppurtunity to convince my mom to let me buy one. At first, it didn't work out. She would just smile and nod whenever I mentioned them. After school ended for summer, I told my mom again that I wanted one. She then asked how much they costed and I told her. She said, "Oh, well that's not as bad as I thought," and then told me that I should buy one. I was like, "WHHHAAAT!!?" buuut thinking that of course kekekkeke XD I was afraid to buy her because the only way of paying for her was...oh I don't wanna say it(it's not like THAT sickos!!).
In early July, my mom and dad went to northern OH to visit boring geneology stuff for her birthday when I decided that I was gonna buy a doll!! My mom called for...something...I can't remember, but anyways, before she hung up, I said, "Mom?? I was wondering if I could get a doll..."
*long pause* "Ok, but you do need to think about what you're gonna get. You can't get too much because you don't have enough money...blah blah blah" After many "I know's" and "ok's" I jumped for joy and started to decide on what doll I was going to get. It took forever because I couldn't decide what doll I wanted. So about 10 something at night(my mom called around 2 in the afternoon LOL), I finally decided which doll I wanted: a Youth Dollmore Eve named Chami. So I ordered her and after much decision making, I bought an outfit for her(a cheaper one that only costed...$16 I think.), chose the eyes and hair I wanted her to come in, and sent the order!!

OHHHH MY GOODNESS THIS WEATHER IS SOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DDDD "NICE WEATHER!!"- Eunhyuk, my lurrve lmao :3 Oooo, this weather is soo nice, I have to listen to happy music and dance around :D

Ok, so I made the curry that I bought a few days ago and it schmeckt gut(random German FTW!!) The only problem was that I think I cooked the potatoes too long and it left a lot of starchy residue on the rest of the curry, making the texture not really smoothe like I had the last time. I don't know for sure if it was just the curry brand, or if it really was the potatoes, but for now I'm going with the latter. The brand I used was Golden Curry. It wasn't nearly as good as the other brand I had... I can't remember the name, but it started with a "K"... Anyways, the flavor wasn't as strong, which is good for those who aren't used to the curry taste, like everyone in my family. Buuuut, they're all afraid to try it. They never wanna try anything new and different :[ Sehr lecker curry pics:

I've been making yachaejeon(Korean vegetable pancake) a lot lately. Mostly it's because I already have the ingredients ready and I'm always trying to perfect my cooking of it. It almost always turns out wrong D: Since my pan is too small, I always stupidly add the whole batter instead of making two, so the middle always turns out to doughy and soft, when it's supposed to be crispy. Oh, and a couple of days ago, I had the most ultimate fail: I guess I must've put too much green onions in the batter, so I poured the whole thing in the pan and when I tried to flip it, it all came apart!! Every single time I tried to flip the stupid thing, it just kept falling apart. Ugh, it was so fail, but it still tasted lecker!! LOL Random German FTW!!! XDDD

This one turned out way too burnt and I forgot to add the salt, so I tried to add some on top. It didn't work. FAIL D: The best part is that it was very crispy, like how I think it should be.

It wasn't as cooked as I wanted it to be, mostly in the middle, but the edges were crispy und das schmeckt gut(I probably used the wrong form of das, but I don't care)!!

I'm pretty excited because I don't start school until next Wednesday. At first, I thought the 8th was on a Monday, then I realized that it was on Tuesday. Then today, I told my mom that school started on Tuesday and she was like, "Well, you don't have to starte until Wednesday, remember?? You only have classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday." YESS!!! I was soo happy, I can't believe I forgot that(well, actually I can XP) So, yay!! No school until Wednesday!! :DDD Ugh, I have to study hard on my German, I forgot so much it seems like D:

Gonna make some curry rice chyeah

Oh man, this stuff is addicting!! At first, I didn't like curry rice that much. The first time I had it was at my friend, Yudi's house. I thought it tasted weird and I couldn't finish eating it. Gradually, I started getting used to the taste and I soon began craving it. A few months ago, I went to Jungle Jim's(I love that store) and I actually bought a packet of curry rice mix...squares...thing... Anyways, I made it and it was uber lecker!! I just put in some carrots, beef, potatoes, and onions along with the sauce(duh...), nothing special. Some people actually put in stuff like yogurt, honey, and/or tomatoes... Is that even good?! It doesn't really sound like it to me, but I guess I could try it someday.

So anyways, I bought some more curry rice stuff yesterday and I'm planning on making it soon :D It's a different brand than what I had last time, so hopefully it'll taste the same(or maybe better :D)!!

King's Island and other things...

Weeee!! King's Island was muuyyy fun!! The first ride we went on was called Diamondback. OOOOMG It was soooo scary and so fun at the same time!! Well, it was really scary while I was on the ride but afterwards, I was like, "WOO!! Yeah!!That was awesome!! I'm ready to go back on there again!!" Diamondback is one of the fastest rollercoaster, it goes like, 80 someodd miles per hour!! The drops are like....WOWOMGI'MGONNADIE!!! big. After that, we went on almost all the other rides and they were super fun!! The lamest was called The Crypt. It was supposed to be Tomb Raider, but stupid Paramount sold King's Island to Cedar Point(another OH theme park). LAME. I would go on about it's lameness, buuut I won't ;] I started feeling sick and tired and my feet were killing me by the end of the day. All in all, it was a good time :D

I've been making Korean food a lot and I've been making this Korean "pancake" recipe I got from Maangchi(google it!!) It's sooo good!! The last time I made it turned out nasty because I forgot to add the salt. I took some pics of it, but I haven't uploaded them to my compy yet(laziness D:)

My mom bought me some Napa cabbage and now I really wanna try to make kimchi. I need all the other ingredients, of course, but I still really wanna try it :D The only problem is that my mom HATES that smell!! She hates the smell of kimchi, danmooji(or takuwan, or pickled radish. Usually used for kimbap, which is also delicious) or anything fishy or what she's just not used to smelling. I guess I must be weird because I actually like the smell of kimchi... O_o

Mmmm I'm hungry for Korean food!! Ahh, I could go on and on about how delicious it is :D A lot of people are obsessed with Japanese food and while it's pretty good, it's flavor is lacking. Korean food has very strong flavors, so you usually don't have to use stuff like soy sauce or salt to try and enhance the flavor. Like with kimbap(kind of the equivilent to sushi.), you could use soy sauce for taste, but it doesn't need it. It's good on it's own. With sushi, I like eating it with soy sauce, but on it's own, it's not that great... :\

Of course, any kind of Asian snack food(well, almost hahaha!!) is good to me!! I love all that stuff: pocky, Koala no Maachi cookies, Hello Kitty Yam-Yam snacks, CHOCOPIES, anything like that is delicious!! :DDD

Enough about food, I'm hungry now and I just ate D: Ok, I'll stop now XD

SAP appeal approved and King's Island!!

YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!! Oh my god, I'm soooo glad and happy that my appeal thing got approved!! OH YES!! Now, I don't have to worry about not going to school anymore. This SAP appeal thing I had to do was because I didn't have enough credits to be given any loans but thank God that they approved it. So, I really need to buckle down and start getting my grades up and stuff. No more slacking!! I know that there are thousands of things I'd rather be doing, but I need to do schoolwork!! Uh anyways, King's Island on Sunday. I'm muy excited!! We're planning on going on the new Diamondback roller coaster. Ohhh my god, I'm so scared about it!! It's uber fast and uber, uber high. I am NOT good with heights!! I hate the feeling of free falling too. But, I'm gonna suck it up, I guess.

Anyways, too tired to think of anything else to write. Will think of interesting things later :\ Ciao for now :3

So, uhh, first post here...yay...??...!! I usually don't know what the heck to say whenever I start journals and stuff.. But yeah. I don't know what I'm gonna put in here because I already have an LJ account and write stuff in there... So, I dunno. I think this is gonna be the less angry journal...or something. Usually in my LJ, I just rant about whatever's pissing me off at the time, or just emo a lot kekeke XDDDD I think I'll just write about stuff that interests me, so it'll probably be really random, which is fine by me because I'm most likely the only one who will be reading this kekekeke....
