Deco-den!!

Deco-den is awesome!! I love all the tacky, but cute things people put on their cell phones, Nintendo DS', Ipods, etc!! It looks like so much fun!! I really wanna try it and spruce up some of my more dated electronics such as my DS, Ipod, cell phone, camera. They're all pretty old (well, except my camera), so I don't mind getting clue and other cute crap all over it anymore. I found this one website which sells a bunch of the deco-den things such as rhinestones, pearls, jeweled pieces, etc. So much awesome stuff at a really low price!! I really, really want to but a buncha stuff from them!! I was about to, but for EMS shipping, it's $20, which brought the total to about $42. WTH!? I could go with the $5 shipping, but it'll take longer. I don't mind as much as I did; I can wait :]

For my DS, I have a pink DSLite, so I want it to have peachy/pink and creamy white pearls, pink and silver rhinestones, and other pieces such as a jeweled pink heart, flowers, etc. For my camera, I found some really cute little strawberry plastic pieces, so I wanna use those as well as some pink and silver rhinestones. Maybe green ones as well, but I'm still debating on it. As for my Ipod, I want aqua and silver rhinestones, maybe some white pearls, and a Hello Kitty piece. I might want a hot pink color with it as well. I think it would look nice with the blue Ipod, and it would match Hello Kitty's bow (the one on the website has a pink bow). I don't know what I'd want for my phone, it's an ugly orange color, but all I know is that something has to be done to it because I hate it. I tried adding a Paul Frank and a Spongebob sticker to kinda make it more personalized, but it doesn't totally work DX

Speaking of deco-den, I've really been getting into Japanese gyaru nails. They're the most gaudiest things known to mankind, but they're really cute and fun at the same time. See, that's the thing with this kinda stuff: it's so tacky and gross, but it works all at the same time. They're stylish enough that people forget how gnarly they are. At least that's how it is for me!! I've really been wanting to make some of my own gyaru nails and to my luck, the exact same website that sells the deco-den stuff sells nail art things as well!! The owner also makes her own nails, a lot of them are really cute :3 But yeah, I just wanna try them out, just to see what it's like!! I definitely wouldn't wear them to school because they'd have a higher chance of falling off, but I'd love to try wearing them out and about!! Some are WAY too gaudy for my tastes, but something a little simpler would be great!! Maybe just add some flowers, a couple of pearls and rhinestones would be good. Also some bows would be cute :D

I just hope that I can get some deco-den stuff someday soon!! I'd love to try it out!! :D

Looking cute with wigs!!

So, this past...year to a year 1/2(...??) I've been really, REALLY interested in ANYTHING that's Asian cute(more than I ever have), such as Sanrio(well, I've liked Sanrio ever since I was in 3rd or 4th grade...), San-X(Rilakkuma, Mamegoma, etc.), as well as looking cutesy in pics, or trends such as circle lenses, deco-den, etc. Now, another interest of mine involving Asian-y cuteness is....WIGS!! I got into them a little bit a few months ago, and the interest resurfaced, so now I'm really considering on buying one!! I don't know which one to buy because they're all so darn cute!!

Now I know people in the US think that wearing a wig for fashion purposes is beyond weird(wigs are usually associated with premature hair loss or some kind of serious disease), but I like them!! I have the worst hair: thin and FLAT. I can't style my hair if my life depended on it because I don't have the time and I especially don't have the patience for it(and I'm a pretty patient person for the most part), so my daily school hairstyle is usually(and I mean ALMOST ALWAYS) just straightened, no volume or anything. It's so...BLAH. I hate it because I might have a cute outfit on and my make looks great, but my hair is just so dull. I don't really have any layers in my hair and it's growing longer, meaning it's emphasizing the boringness of it all. I know that I could go get it cut, but I don't know what style I want and I'm not really keen on going to hairstylists....I don't really know why...

I'm not sure whether or not I'd wear a wig to school, unless it matched my hair color, but I would definitely wear them out(the same goes for circle lenses: I won't wear them to school, but I'd wear them out or for pics)!! Whether I'm going shopping, partying(which I don't do a whole lot of... DX), or clubbing(which I haven't done in a long time), I would totally wear a wig. Mostly because if I wore a wig a different color or length than my natural hair at school, everyone in my classes(smaller classes at least) would know and it would just be too obvious. But wearing them out while shopping or whatever, you're probably never going to see those people ever again, so it doesn't matter.

Today, I've been looking through some different wig sites, most of them are Korean, at least right now, and I'm seriously drooling over how super CUTE these wigs look!! Of course, the models are mega adorable too!! I just wish these sites would have services in English as well. I'm sure there are plenty of Westerners(like me!!) who would really want to buy one. Well...I guess I should look at some Western sites for similar styles, but they're more expensive. I just found a site that sells Korean wigs for English speakers and the wigs are $50 each. DDDD: Well, they said on the page that most wigs like the ones they sell are over $100, so I guess it's a pretty good deal...

Anyways, here are some of my faves:

I LIIIIIVE!!

Wow, so I haven't posted here in awhile... Quite a few things happened over the past few months: I passed all my fall classes except for my stupid regional studies class, my break was really long and mostly uneventful, my mom and my sister got into a huge fight. It was really scary; my period last month was so bad, I threw up twice and I started to convulse from the pain and from having a panic attack at the same time; Christmas was pretty fun, we got a Wii!!!!!!! That thing is so addicting and fun!!

I got a lot of cute things for Christmas: a Rilakkuma calendar, a pouch(I keep some of my make-up in there), and a cute folder my mom bought just because; two pairs of Hello Kitty socks, slippers; and, this is the best, a Hello Kitty HAT!! It's so cute!! It's shaped like HK's face. I need to post some pics!! I got some things for Noel: a skirt, a bunny shirt, matching socks, two wigs, a pair of eyes, and a "circus" outfit (not really, but they call it "Bon bon Circus Set" on Dollmore...) and they all look great on her (of course!! x3).

Also, I got another Super Junior poster and the Super Junior Super Show dvd, which I was very, very excited about!! I watched it with my mom and she was beyond freaked out by it. In between each song they performed, they would put in these random, stupid little shorts that ranged from weird animations to riding roller coasters to have a "showdown" by shooting food at each other. Not to mention the fanservice freaked her out too, where the boys would do little "gay" things to each other to please all the yaoi fan girls... I just laugh at those because I know they're not serious... Other than the weird fillers, the DVD was really enjoyable, it had them perform some of my favorite songs(although, they don't have any from their 3rd album because it was filmed before that...) as well as some of the members sang solos or sang with one or two other members, or one would sing while another accompanied them on piano. Those songs were lovely and Donghae's song, which was dedicated to his late father, brought tears to my eyes ;_;

On New Year's Eve, I thought I was going to die of boredom, but luckily, Yudi called me and asked if I wanted to go to this "mini party". I of course said yes!! We(along with our friends Cassandra and Kristin) went to her bf's friend's apartment and had some drinks(I had a bit too much XD) and played Apples to Apples while watching Time Square on her bf's lappy. At midnight, we all drank some champagne and toasted the New Year!! We also played Scattegories, which is not easy while intoxicated DX

Theeeeennn school reared it's ugly head last week. I'm taking Classics, German 202, and a math class for dummies. I hate that class with a passion. It's so time consuming because you can't move forward on anything until "proctors" come and check off your work. It has to be 100% correct before you move on. While it is a good idea to get the basics down, it's just too dang long.

A couple of days ago, a friend of mine, whom I met in my drawing class a few years back and we have a lot in common, finally texted me after so long. Anyways, she asked me if I wanted to go to Ohayocon with her and of course, I said YES!! I'm sooo excited!! I've never been to an anime con or any con in my life, so this should be a new experience. Yes, I am indeed going to dress up!! I just ordered my costume online, and I'm going to be Haruhi from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. While it's not my *favorite* series(mostly because it can get so darn confusing), I love Haruhi's character: she's outspoken, odd, and doesn't give a rat's ass about what others think of her. She'll do almost anything to get some excitement in her life because she's bored with humans, so she sets up a club to look for time travlers, espers, and aliens(which are all under her nose, but she has no idea). Here's a pic!!

If any anime fan has NOT heard of her, I just... don't have any words...
In addition to the costume I ordered, I also ordered some brown circle lenses to make my eyes look more anime like. I don't know how good they'll look on me considering I have hazel eyes(the pupils in the lenses are very large, so the natural eye color shows through when looked at up close). I'm very excited and I'm PRAYING that they get here before the convention!! I'm also going to die my hair a darker brown and cut it a bit. I was going to buy a wig, but it was 27 bucks, plus 15 dollars in shipping and I'm not willing to fork out too much cash on this, I already spent enough on it.

Ok, enough rambling...

Rilakkuma pouch!! So soft :3

Here's what the inside looks like.

I tied the ears up in a knot. I just copied the idea from the Dollmore pics. They look so cute!! ^^ Oh, and she's also wearing her new blue eyes!!

Here she is with her new pink wig. I got it before her black one and her wine colored one. I love that bow in the circus set :3

New wine colored wig. I really like these pale blue eyes that I got awhile back on her. They look great with all of her wigs and clothes. Not too dark(since they're acrylic), not too light.

Random things...

Ok, so I haven't posted anything in awhile, not that anybody's reading this to care!! Anyways, so I went to Half Price Books a few days ago... I think it was Saturday, when, yet again, I found some really awesome stuff!! I found 2 Sailor Moon anime manga(they were just comics based entirely from the S.M episodes) in the original Japanese for only $4.98!! Not bad considering the regular price tag(from wherever this person bought it from), which was $10.98 each!! I also found a random issue of Nakayoshi- a Japanese magazine aimed towards young girls that is literally chock full of manga stories(and I thought Shoujo Beat was thick!!) They used to have S.M in there back when it first came out. But anyways, this was from 2008...May...I think?? I haven't had a chance to really look through it all, but I'm just still wigging out on all my super awesome, totally random finds!! 8D

So school's almost out, just three more exams and then I'm done for the friggin' quarter!! I was sooo excited that I got an A+ on my cultural narrative paper I had to write for English!! I wrote it on Irish dance and how annoying it is to have I.D be compared to Riverdance and other things. The comment that he wrote on my paper made me blush SOOO much!! It was just basically saying that the paper was well organized, interesting, and that I did a really good job writing it and stuff like that. 8DDDDD Ooooh, I can't help but blush like crazy whenever he talks to me, even write nice comments on my papers!! XD Oh and when he tries to talk to me in German...XD Very cute!! Ok, enough about my lil' schoolgirl crush kekeke!!

I was thinking on writing some more about school, but I'll do it later, when I'm not pulling an all nighter and can hardly see the keys on my keyboard.

Yay school's almost over for the quarter!! 8D

FINALLY!! I'm so ready for school to be done and over with. Well, at least this quarter. I'm sick of all the papers I have to write, I'm sick of waking up early in the morning (I'm not a morning person at all). Anyways, I still need to sign up for my classes for next quarter. I want to wait and see what grades I have so I don't sign up for the wrong classes or whatever. I still need to see my adviser and honestly, I'm scared of her. I've met her in person once but from what her emails were like and even how she was towards me when we met she seemed kind of rude. She seemed to cut me off when I tried talking to her and she never told me what I needed to do for my major. She just suggested some classes for me that I should take for winter quarter and that was it. She didn't mention the rest of the classes I should take for the future or whatever. I need to switch advisers or something.

Halloween just happened a few days ago. It was beyond boring for me. I did nothing except read a little bit and pass out candy to the kids. I don't see what's so great about Halloween... I think it's one of the holidays I can live with out.

Apparently, I need to write a paper for my regional studies class which I had no idea we had to. I need to come up with a topic soon. I don't think he even mentioned anything about the paper. I know that we have to write about something current in the Middle East(at least I think we do) but that's about it. I also need to write my English paper as well as rewrite my comparative studies paper. It's pretty interesting because I'm writing about Japanese fashion, which I'm really interested in.

Errr, that's it for now. I'm tired and bored.

The last of my birthday gifts :D

Sooo, I totally forgot to post some pics of the last of my birthday gifts!! We had to reorder them again because for some reason, they didn't send my mom the request to pay with Pay Pal. Anyways, I looooove cute things. Always. I've loved everything Sanrio ever since I was little. Later, my sister showed me San-X. Like Sanrio, San-X has looooads of cute little animals. I think they only have animals... Well, they also have a sweet shop thing too... Anyways, I instantly fell in love with lots of the characters!! I looove Rilakkuma, Mamegoma, Homecoro, Nyan Nyan Nyanko, and Monokuro Boo :D So anyway, back to my presents, my mom ordered me some San-X stuff for my birthday!! I got a Rilakkuma Ipod/cell phone holder, Rilakkuma bento box, and a Mamegoma bento bag. They're all soooo cute!! They also gave me a free Monokuro Boo pin, which my sister was beyond jealous of because she loves those pigs XP

PICS!! 8D

:DDD

Oh and my parents bought some of this Hello Kitty milk flavored candy at the commissary a week or two ago. The candy was ok, it tasted kind of like vanilla flavored Tootsie Rolls, but different all at the same time. It's hard to explain the taste XD Anyway, the packaging is really cute, so I just had to take a few pics :3

Grr, Blogger pics don't do any of the pics I took justice especially when it comes to pics of my doll... D:

I love finding random things!!

On Friday, my mom and I went to Half Priced Books, a pretty awesome bookstore that has new and used books for much less than regular bookstore prices. It's kind of like a thrift store though, I can never find exactly what I'm looking for all the time, but sometimes I can find some pretty awesome things. Like on Friday for example, I was just browsing through the foreign language section, because sometimes they have some actual reading books in a particular foreign language, and when I looked in the Japanese section, I found four, yes FOUR copies of the original Sailor Moon manga in JAPANESE!!! Yes, friggin' JAPANESE and in MINT CONDISH!! 8DDDD I couldn't believe it. These books were in pristine condition and even though it wasn't the first four volumes(they were vol. 6,7,8 and 18-the very last one), it was still an amazingly AWESOME find!! I LOOOOVE Sailor Moon, especially when I was little. I always wanted to be a Sailor Scout and I had sooo much stuff, I still have a lot of it left: dolls, trading cards, playing cards, some weird Pokemon based card game thing, some weird real life RPG game book thing this lady from Make a Wish gave me when my sister had cancer, posters I got for Christmas one year and one that my sister gave me, movies, alarm clock, etc. The only thing I don't have is my Sailor Jupiter costume my mom made me for Halloween when I was around 7 or 8. It's sad because my mom did a REALLY, REALLY good job on it- better than a lot what those cosplayers make. I suppose the pattern for the costume was rare, at least for the fabric stores around us. I should post a pic sometime :D Oh, when I was about 12, there was this really cool small store in California called Dance 'n Things and they had loads, and I mean LOADS of Sanrio stuff!! Really good, rare things and they also had some other random stuff. There I found two Sailor Moon paper dolls!! They were from Japan, still had the Japanese writing on it and they were two different sets of paper dolls. I still have them :D and I still can't believe I found something that random and rare in a store like that.

Back to Half Priced Books, my mom also found the first 6 volumes of Vampire Knight(ok, it's not rare exactly, but it's rare to find ALL six volumes together in one HPB store) for only 2 dollars each. I can't believe it because they were all in extremely good condition, read maybe once or twice...

Also a while back, my mom, sister, and I were at HPB in Cincinnati and I found the last Harry Potter book in German. It was the only copy they had in the foreign language section. I was sooo excited!! The book's not in the greatest condition, but I love looking through it and trying to figure out all the words that I know :3 I'm such a dork for foreign language stuff, I love it :D

Speaking of foreign languages, I was in the college of lib. arts at school today, waiting for my conference with my English teacher and while I was waiting, I walked around and I saw a small display case about TESOL and TEFL. My face seriously lit up when I saw it because I want a TEFL degree thing. They offer TEFL classes in the summer apparently and you can also teach ESL in Japan or teach it in some Korean university. JACKPOT!!! OHHH my goodness, that's exactly what I want to do is teach ESL in Japan and/or Korea!! 8DDDDDD I couldn't stop staring at it and smiling like a dork XD

Totally off topic now, I'm thinking on changing my doll's name to Sophie Noel or just Sophie. I dunno what I wanna do!! DX Oh, for my birthday, I got a new wig, new eyes, and shoes for her!! She finally has shoes!! Yay!! The wig is really cute, it's a chestnut brown bob. Her new eyes look gorgey with the hair; they're a light blue color and her shoes are white gladiator style sandals. They look really cute with her dress. I really wanna take her outside since it's beautiful out today :3

PIC SPAM:

Here's Noel in her new wig and eyes!! :D

:3

...Shoes...Shoes...Let's get some shoes!! XDDD

Her wig made me think of Yuna from FFX so I used the green eye I already had with her new blue eye :D I think the green one needs to be lighter, but oh well... Now if only I could get her a Yuna costume!! 8D

Another "Yuna" pic XD

Irish dancer!! I found one soft shoe in one of my caboodle thingies and I put it on her one day and it fit perfectly!! Then a few weeks ago while I was digging through an old backpack, I found another one I thought I lost a long time ago!! Now she has two soft shoes :] Woot!!

Sailor Moon manga :D
